The Assets (2014–) Two veteran CIA officers Sandra Grimes and Jeanne Vertefeuille who hunted down CIA officer Aldrich Ames, a mole who fed information to the Soviet Union that contributed to the deaths of at least ten Soviet intelligence officers who had spied for the United States. This dramatic series goes back to 1985 to chronicle the real-life pursuit of Aldrich Ames, a man who turned out to be one of the most notorious traitors in U.S. history. The search is led by Sandy Grimes, a beautiful wife and mother, who is leading a double life as a counter-intelligence officer at the CIA -- the keeper of the nation's secrets -- during the Cold War. Sandy and her partner, Jeanne Vertefeuile, are in a race against time as they search for their mole, Aldrich Ames, and try to protect other intelligence officers from being captured and killed.
